Hi Cindy,

No, Dr. William A. Tutt who married Sarah Stamper was the great grandfather to Dr. William (Willie) Mason Tutt (1872-1919). "Willie" attended KY Medical College (now Louisville Med School) in 1890, along with his Uncle William Huston Tutt; however, the school shows William H. Tutt graduated but no sign of William Mason Tutt.

Both these men did, in fact, practice medicine. William H. Tutt had his shingle in Menifee Co KY and later in Breathitt Co KY. His nephew, William Mason Tutt, served as a doctor for all the miners in the Floyd Day Mines in Breathitt Co KY.

It's easy to mix all of these ancestors together.

Tutt Lambert
