Bill,
Have you checked into "Chalkley..."? Seems she was "Catherine Kinder", before her m. to Andrew Swallow. Her first child was a "Finley", who Andrew raised. If I recall correctly, this child in mentioned in the will of Thomas Jefferson Finley.
Not an authority on this family, however, I am a Swallow descentant from NJ., and also, a Finley descendant, out of Va.
From what I have found, the Swallows' in NJ.,were German, Schwallau...pos.Schwaldler?
While this may lead nowhere...

"Inquisition held at the house of John Welsch in the township of Tewksburry the 10th of October, 1763...upon the view of the body of John Johnson, then lying dead, at the house of William Willet in sd. twsp. Cause of death was "by the act of God and not by any external injury whatsoever".
