I found an original marriage certificate among my father's personal papers. The marriage certificate has attached photos. Hiram L. Suydam m. Addie Burns 12 Nov 1885 Geneva, NY.
I cannot figure out why my father had this marriage certificate. As far as I can tell, these are not family members. Is anyone a direct descendent? Can anyone provide some information on this couple so I can either make a connection or give the certificate to someone to whom it has great relevance?
