If you are Cecily's daughter, hello.I am Cecily's cousin.I don't believe Mammy Gattis' name was Isabelle Annie, but I think Nola Isabelle.Aunt Isabelle could tell you, of course. She was raised by the J.D. Rice family near Clarksdale.J.D. Rice was a Baptist minister, so she never went to an orphanage.According to Mammy, her brother Alonzo worked as a hired hand on farms and sawmills in the delta, and died at 18 of some kind of fever, but visited her at the Rice home when he could until he died.I believe Mammy said Franklin died as an infant, and Aunt Florence lived to be an old lady and died in Tillatoba, MS.I recently saw a Suttle website from Yorkshire, England, so you might try that County. If you find any information, I certainly hope you will post it; I've tried Sudbury, and Suffolk County and Sussex County, also, but find nothing, and have been unable to find anything pertinent in Yorkshire.Good Luck!
