I am looking for a Rachel Sutterfield, Mulatto, living in VA in the early 1800's. She was possibly a slave of Wm
Vickers of Walnut Bottom/Smith Mills, Henderson County, KY.
She had a son, named Lee Henry Vickers in 1865 and can be found on the 1870 KY Census, listed as Rachel Simms. She married a Joseph Simms, of Ohio. She had a son, William H Simms and they moved to Mt Vernon, Posey County, IN, where she died.
