Hi,
Been away for researhing for a few years because of all the dead ends.
Back at it!
JACOB SUTTER: B: PITT, PA 1/7/1844 – D: 10/5/1914 – JOLIET, IL. M.: MARY WALHSMITH – 12/3/1882 – SPRINGFIELD, IL. Moved to Lockport abt. 1896 moved to Joliet abt. 1905
MEMBER: MOdERN WOODMEN OF AMERICA of Mill City Camp; GAR
CIVIL WAR:
MARY “WALHSMITH” SUTTER: B; 1862 D:5/24/1928
CHILDREN: Eva (May have married Grover C. Williams); Mrs. A. J.”Mary” (Herath or Harris); John; (D.A./C.A) may have been “Arthur”; Anthony; George: Harry Edward–(my gr. father). NOTE: One of the boys may have been call“BUD” who d. 1925-Tucson, AZ?
I have probably contacted every Sutter in the Lockport/Joliet, IL and NOT EVEN ONE had any info. on my family! You would think that at least one family member would have stayed in the area????
Oh well.
