Paul,
I found John Franklin Sutherlin and Sarah Carmichael. I have his family page just e-mail me and I figure out how to send it. The first Sutherlin in the US was Phillip Sutherlin and he came from Scottland. Sutherland is a Scottish clan name, a head clan name. This is my family hertiage on my father's side. Do you know why they name the town Sutherlin, Or.?
