This is a long shot her but here it goes.
I descend from Robert Austin born 1634 in England who migrated to King's Town RI. I own a book of this lineage. Robert's son Jeremiah Austin was born abt. 1665 and he and his wife named Elizabeth had 8 children: Robert, Pasko, Jeremiah, David, Stephen, Mercy, Daniel, EZEKIEL.
Pasko (second son) married Maragaret Sunderland (see you are researching Southerland) daugher of Daniel and Elizabeth Sheldon Sunderland.
Daniel the 7th son married Ann Baker born 1702 daughter of Thomas and Mary Baker. They lived in N. King's Town, RI.
EZEKIEL the 8th child married Elizabeth Champlin daughter of Jeffery and Hannah Champlain.
I know you are researching Baker's of Pence area of Quebec, RI and Mass. My previous email to you reflects my research. This is the same Austin family that connects to my Martha Austin who married James Augusta Baker son of Thomas and Mary Story Baker. Thomas Baker was the one born in Pence Quebec.
The other Baker connection to this line of Austins is:
Robert born 1634 to son Jeremiah born 1665 to Pasko born 1691 to Isaac born 1737 (married Rhodinah Vaughan) to son David born 1763 in Hancock, Mass. This David Austin married Hannah Lee daughter of Elnathan/Nathan and Sarah BAKER Lee. Her mother Sarah Baker was daughter of John and Sarah Mason Baker and she was born in Swansea, RI.
These are the three Baker connections to my Austin line. The given name Ezikiel and the frequency of the Baker connections perhaps may shed some light for you. Perhaps if you check out some of these commuities in Mass, RI you can find your Elizabeth.
Let me know if you need any more info I have lots of genealogy information on several of these lines.
