1836--At Liverpool, George S., Esq., solicitor of Halifax, married Mary Henrietta, 4th dau of Sir Godfrey Wilks of Lichen Hall, Kirkudbright, Co. Dumfrieshire.
1836--Catholic chapel, Burnley, John S., son of Mr S., spirit merchant and grandson of John Witham, Esq of Hessleford, marrie Susannah, eldest dau of John Veevers and granddau of the same above mentioned John Witham, Esq. all of Burnley.
1836--Death of the Rev. Henry Hey S., aged 74, Headmaster of Blackrod Free Grammar School.
