On the 1860 Tippah County, Ms. census, the family of John Surratt had a daughter Winnie, age 6 born Ms. She would be mighty young to have a son born by 1866, but these things did happen. Also dates of birth are sometimes noted wrong. Look for them on the census and see if this McBride family had a 4 year old in 1870. This is the only Winnie I know about. Hope this helps.
