I ran across the home page of the Royal College of Organists, which is on St. Andrew Street, Holborn, England. The Holborn area was called Clerkenwell in 1863 when the organization was started. The location is roughly a mile and a half straight east of Buckingham Palace in London. - The group first met on November 23, 1863 and the chairman of the first meeting was a Joseph Surman. - You can view their home page by simply typing in "RCO" on a search site or their address http://www.rco.org.uk . A link is provided that explains their history and mention of Joseph Surman is in the first paragraph. - If anyone knows that they are related to this Joseph Surman please e-mail me at djohnson@bmtc.net as I believe I may be related to him also. - bye, dj Notify Administrator about this message?
