The Suriano/Caglia Family from Potenza, Italy
My branch of the Suriano family came from Potenza, Italy about 1904 and resided in
Brooklyn, New York.Although living in a different part of Brooklyn at first, they eventually ended living
on Minna St.
My grandfather, Antonio Suriano, came to this country in 1904 (roughly) and my grandmother, Incoronata (nee Caglia) came
here the year later.
They had one son, Rocco Suriano (Rudy) born in Italy before coming to this country(His children's names, born here,
were Adrianna and Rudolph.)
Once here, they continued to have 8 additonal children: Umberto, Freddy, Steve, Arthur, Annie, Mary, Jennie and Victor.
Umberto (Albert) had one son, Spencer, Freddy had one daughter, Cora, Steve had two children, Steven and Cora, Arthur had two
children, Artie and one female daughter, Annie had two sons, Ronald and Carl, Mary had 4 children, Steve, Nancy plus 2 other boys,
Jennie had 4 children, Theresa, Robert, plus one other daughter and son, and Victor had one son, Anthony.Any information to fill in the gaps before they left Italy or after would be greatly appreciated, or if you feel that you're somehow related, please let me know.
PS-my grandmother, Incoronata Caglia supposedly had other brothers and sisters in Potenza that migrated to South America. Nothing is know what happened to them.
Thanks!
