Hello Scott this is a bit off topic, since I came here seeking hopefully clues as to why my grandmother Holiday had photos of Wm and Helen Sunday in her possesion, and I see your name is Bush and in what few records I have run across in trying to unravel my Indiana Holiday family, I ran across some vauge reference of the family of the Bush's who are now in the US presidency not sure if relevant to Bush Sr. or Bush Jr. but one of them has a Holiday ancestor from the midwest region ,and one of my mothers cousins are unlces was a US congressman from the turn of the centure, a Elias Selah Holliday, I am not sure of the exact realtionship between a Bush and a Holliday but I think I saw some tree that stated the Bush family had a grandmother Holiday.Since you have Indiana ties I thought I would throw that at you.As for some reason my great aunt Jennifer Holiday ended up living in Washington DC married to a Tom Walker, and I have always wondered how she got there from Indiana. She was my grandmothers half-sister. I know there are also Walkers in the Bush family tree.I also know my mother who stayed with Jennie Holliday Walker during the WWII area got a personal invitation to an "at home" with Elanor Rosevelt. My mother never knew why or was not willing to tell me why.My family closet is full of secrets I am just starting to learn.I am just getting warmed up in clearing it all up.This is not totally off topic as I read an article on Sunday when I first identified the photos of William A Sunday and Helen, that during his heyday he had the support of a number of US congressmen regarding some of his ideas regarding various things I think including the temrerance movement, and I wonder if Elia Selah Holliday was not one of these congress people.I am intrigued to the max to find out how all these clues will fit together and hopeful this new Billy Sunday Clue will help me push my Holliday/Kies/Tolliver research to the next level.Think we have a Bush/Holliday/Sunday thread of some sort, some link of friendship or something?????
