Hi, John Ellis Sumner/Summers and Nancy Langston were my gggggrandparents. They had a daughter, Sarah, that married Robert H. Dockery(my ggggrandparents). According to some on-line records and kind, helpful strangers, John E. was born 1797 in S.C. and Nancy was born 1802 in KY. or TN. They married 1816 in AL. Their chldrn-Lucinda,Caleb,Isaac Newton,William B,Martha(Mary),Jacob P,Mary J,John D,Nancy A,James M,Sarah J,Matilda Usbury, and George. Maybe Jacob P is who you're looking for. The story is that 6 of the 7 sons died in the war. Hope this helps.
