Information on the Summey Slave's

I am going to repeat some info given to me by Rebecca (in a private email) so it can be shared with others who research here. Her information is that Polly Mira Poor married Jacob Summey after having been married to Caleb Poor, and Jacob Summey was somehow related to Abraham Summey who was a black slave and was born before Jacob and Polly got together.
I found records of Polly Mira Avery (b. 8/24/1779) marrying Caleb Poor in 1796 and thereafter marrying Jacob Summey in 1823.Jacob was from Asheville. Polly was the daughter of Waightstill Avery, the first atty. general of NC under the new constitution of 1776.Her great-great-great grandfather, Christopher Avery, was a pilgrim from Devonshire who came to Mass. in 1630.
We don't yet know whether Abraham Summey was perhaps the son of Jacob Summey by a female slave (it worked for Thomas Jefferson)or was a slave of Jacob who took his name.
