According to "The Geneology of Peiter Heyl and his Decendants" by Elizabeth Hoyle Rucker, the Ann Summey you mentioned was the only daughter of Ann Hovis (b.1811) and David Summey.THey were married Nov. 26, 1823.Ann was born in 1828.SHe had one brother named John who was born in 1824.John married Nancy Kiser in 1848.They had 4 children: Daniel (b.1849), Jacob (b.1851), John, Jr.(b.1853) and Susan (b.1855).John's sister, Ann Summey married Solomon Hovis (isn't this confusing?) making her name Ann Hovis like her mother's maiden name. Her children (named Hovis) were: Frances (b.1846), Margaret (b.1848), Abel (b.1850), Rose (b.1852), Selena (b. 1854), Sarah (b.1856), John (b.1858), and Emeline(b.1860).
