I am trying to find information about a ARMES > AIKEN/AKIN Born in or around 1882 possibly Franklin County, ILLINOIS. Death about 20 March 1914 in ILLINOIS. He was married to Necie/Necy Ann/Annie "Anna Mae" WILLIAMS Born: 09 March 1876 in Arkansas. Married: 02 June 1901 Franklin county,ILLINOIS Death: 05 May 1950 in Christopher, Franklin County, ILLINOIS Her Burial was in the Masonic & OddFellows Cemetery in Benton, Franklin County,ILLINOIS. Her Father was Noah Sampson WILLIAMS- Her mother was ELLEN SUMMERS From Franklin county, ILLINOIS Marriage Register: Armes AIKEN(age 22, 1st marriage, born Franklin County, residing in Bessie ILLINOIS, son of James AIKEN and ANJALINE OSBORN) married Annie WILLIAMS (age 23, 2nd marriage, born Franklin County, ILLINOIS residing at AIKEN ILLINOIS, daughter of Noah WILLIAMS and ELLEN SUMMERS) On June 2nd, 1901, at John A. Koons, Office ( JUstice of the Peace). --------------------------------------------------------- In a book "Obits & Tidbits" 1910-1914 it has that on 20 March 1914 Benton Evening News had written the following in a story: Armes AIKEN died at his home of measles, aged 35, Leaving his wife and 4 children. He was taken to Parrish for Burial. ----------------------------------------------------------- "Parrish, ILLINOIS was completely destroyed by the Tri-State tornado a few years later so there is no cemetery there any more. That is all we have of information on him please let me know if you have him in your genealogy we do have more on the rest the of the family just not him or his family. Thank-you for your help!
