Dianna,
I have tried to write you email but it was returned. You replied to a message I posted in 2001 so I have done a lot more research since then.
Jacob Roy and Amanda are my 2nd gr-grandparents, through their son Isaac William Roy, then his son Arthur Roy, then his dau Catherine Roy, then me.
As for the parents of Amanda:Her mother was Hannah Bonner, dau of Wm. Bonner & Jemima Carr.On Jacob & Amanda's marriage record in 1854 Randolph Co. bk3 p1, it lists her as Amanda Flanagan, parents Ebenezer & Hannah Flanagan. However, in the 1850 census Amanda is listed in Ebenezer Flanagan's household as Amanda Bonner, age 18.She was born about 1832.Hannah Bonner did not marry Ebenezer Flanagan until 1 Aug 1838 in Randolph Co. bk2 p12.So for now I have Amanda listed in my family tree as Amanda Bonner Flanagan, with the assumption that she is a dau of Ebenezer Flanagan (we have conflicting information between the 1850 census and the 1854 marriage record).Others have her listed as Amanda Wade (I don't think Wade is correct). She did have a cousin, Amanda Bonner (c1849), who married John Wade in 1876.
I have further info if you are interested in these lines, let me know.

Note: Jacob Roy's second wife was Margaret Simmons-Roy, dau of Daniel & Mary Simmons.Jacob Roy and Margaret Simmons-Roy were married 25 Nov 1892 Randolph Co. bk2a p88.Margaret Simmons was first married to Joseph Roy, son of Washington Roy & Sarah Summerfield.Joseph Roy and Margaret Simmons were married 30 Nov 1865 Tucker Co.This Joseph Roy died about 1890, and was a nephew of Jacob Roy.
