I am looking for information about my grandfather JOHN (JOHAN) BAPTIST GEIGER, born 1865 in Austria. He was married to JULIA ROSE SCHOTT, born 1869 in Alsace Lorraine, France. There children were LOUIS VICKTOR (b. 1888 - TX), ELLENORA AGNES (b.1889 - TX), JOHAN BAPTIST JR. (b. 1892 - TX), LENORA ROSA (b. 1894 - KS), KATHERINA LOUISE (b. 1897. - TX), ANNA EUGENIA (b. 1900 - TX), CECELIA JOSEPHINE (b. 1902 - OK), KARL LORENZ (LAURENCE) (my father, b. 1905 -OK), STELLA MAGDELENA (b.1908 - TX) and PAUL ANTONE (b.1913 - OK).
JULIA ROSE was the daughter or LORENZE SCHOTT, SR. (b. 1840 Germany) and her mother was MADALINE WOLTER (b. 1846 – France). There children were MARY MADALINE (b. 1866 – Germany), LOUIS MARTIN (b. 1867 – Germany), JULIA ROSE (GGrandmother), CAROLINE ELIZABETT (b. 1870 - ?), JOSEPHINE KATSEX (b. 1874), KARL AUGUST (b. 1875), JOSEPHINE KAROLINE (b. 1878), LOUISE TERESA (b. 1882), LAWRENCE ANDREWS (b. 1880), LENA AGNES (b. 1885), MATILDA BERTHA (b. 1888), STELLA ELENORA (b. 1892). I believe the last nine children were born in Missouri.
My father KARL GEIGER married ANNA LAURA RATLIFF (b. 1909 – OK/d. 1999 CA). Her parents were JOHN MORGAN RATLIFF (b. 1873 – TN) and married MARTHA ANN GREGORY (b. 1872 – TN). There children where: LOANE (LOMA) (b. 1897 – TX), WILLARD ISAAC (b. 1898 – TX), EDWARD DENNIS (b. 1901 – OK), MARY GLADYS (b. 1902 –OK), JOHN MELVIN (b. 1905 – OK), LILLIE JANE (b. 1906 –OK), ANNA LAURA (my mother) and LLOYD BENNETT (b. 1903 –OK). I have tons of information on the GREGORY family.
JOHN MORGAN Ratliff’s father was SHADRACK RATLIFF (b. 1848 – TN) and married SARAH J. SULLIVAN (b. 1854 – TN). Their children were LILLY (b. 1872 – TN), JOHNNIE (my grandfather) (b. 1873), MELVINE (b. 1876 –TN), DENNIS (b. 1877 – TN) and ARCHY (b. 1878 – TN).
SARAH JANE SULLIVAN’S parents were MARION SULLIVAN (b. 1835) and her mother was EMMA CAROLINE RATLIFF (b.1830). I am currently trying to find more information on the Sullivan family.
I have no information from Europe on the GEIGER, RATLIFF, SULLIVAN, SCHOTT or WOLTER families. The spelling of some names has odd spellings and some records vary from document to document.
Thanks for any information on any of these people I would be greatly appreciate any help I can get.
