Thanks again for the info.We'd always thought Edward and Polly were married in England. Obviously, we were wrong.Old St. Joseph's is lovely -- how nice to hear that's where it all started!I will check w/ Archdiocese for more info and hope to find out which of Polly's brothers was Hannah's father.
Also, still trying to unravel the info in the 1880 English census you sent my way.All the info for Edward fits, except his mother's age, which would make her far too young to be his older sister Anna's (b. 1848, d. 1900 Erie, PA) mother.Perhaps they were half-siblings w/ the same father . . .
