Sorry it took so long to reply but it has been a busy couple of days.
Well I believe that Your Fitzgibbons and your Sullivans were related to my Sullivans. I'm not sure that your John Sullivans were the parent or Grandparent of my John. You see I never really found a baptism paper for his with a father of John Sullivan. But I did find one for a John Sullivan whose mother Catherine Sullivan had him out of wedlock. The father was listed as a Michael Flanagan. The place of birth was NewCastle West in Limerick.
John Sullivan Baptism: 03/03/1852 (John listed his birth date in 1900 census in NY as 12/1851)
Father: Michael Flanagan Mother: Catherine Sullivan
Sponsers : Denis Hunt Sponser: Mary O'Donnell
I noticed that one of the sponsers of John Fitzgibbons was a Maria O'Donnell (may be the same person as Mary??)
John's mother Catherines baptism records are below
Catherine Sullivan Baptism: 26/08/1835 Dromcolliher
Father: William Sullivan Mother: Maria Daly
Sponser: George Fitzgibbon Sponser: Mgt. Daly
Seems too much of a coincidence with the Fitzgibbons and O'Donnel and Sullivans to not have them be related.
By any chance do you have any Daly's in any of your documents? Maria Daly was born in Bulgaden.
Let me know. Regards, Diane
