Tramore is about 125 miles SE of Limerick. That distance makes it highly unlikely of an ancestral link. The Irish of the 1700's and 1800's, particularly rural/farming folks, usually stayed within or nearby their birth townlands for generations. They basically had no transportation in those days. Exceptions would be those that went to cities like Dublin or emigrated to places like Australia and America.

As you know,the surnames of Sullivan and McCarthy are found throughout Ireland. If you haven't done so already, try searching for an 1821 Census for Limerick. They may not have it since most Irish census data were destroyed in a 1916 fire in Dublin. However, some survived in whole or in fragments. Also, have you tried finding baptismal records for your ancestors in Limerick? That can be quite productive. Jim
