My great grandmother was a Sullivan, one of 9 girls, I have been working on them for 4 years, they were born Inchee, Co. Kerry at least you know it was Co. Cork, there are 100's of John Sullivan's born Co. Cork you are going to need a clue Stateside, ask the oldest relative you have, if you have photo's look on the back of them, check the archives of the local paper in Bowling Green you may find an OBIT
