John Henry Sullivan - Burlington, VT

Hi All,

I am looking for an article that appeared in the Burlington Free Press probably between 1940 and 1956. It is a story about my great grandfather John Sullivan who was reunited with his sister Emily after 50 years apart. John Sullivan was a Buffalo Soldier who fought in the Spanish American War (and possibly WW1).

Unfortunately Burlington Free Press does not carry an index for these years, so I would be reduced to checking 16 years worth of newspapers, or 5840 of them. Definitely not something I could do.

If you happen to remember this, can help narrow down the years, or come across it, I would appreciate it.

This might be one of the key items I need to trace down anything past my great grandfather.
