I am trying to trace four Sullivan Beare families who leased property in Reenadisert (between Glengarrif and Bantry, at the head of Bantry Bay) in 1852.They were Florence and John, who shared small parcels on Lot 1 and Cornelius and Mortimer who shared parcels on Lot 4.By 1858, all are gone from that place, and only a Samuel Sullivan holds Lot 4.
The genealogist I consulted suspects that one or all mayhave left the townland, perhaps for America. I believe that one of these families may be the father of my ancestor, Eugene Sullivan (born about 1835-1840), who was living in Reenadisert in 1857, at the time of his marriage.A Mary Sullivan, James Sullivan, and Joanna Sullivan were his contemporaries--they served as godparents to his children, who were all baptized in Ireland. Do you think your Florence could be related to this Sullivan branch in Reenadisert?
