For once, I have no question...I do but I'm not going to ask. This time, I'm here to share because, without the message boards and the generousity of the members, I wouldn't have what I do. So, I'm putting it together and posting it for others. My thanks to all.
Patrick Henry Sullivan was born 05 Mar 1857 in Worcester, Massachusetts and died 16 Oct 1930 at 16841 Monica, Detroit, MI. His parents were Patrick Sullivan and Hannah (or Hanora) Wallace (last name not confirmed) of Ireland. His parents came to the US to avoid the potato famine.
Patrick Senior was born about 1830 in Ireland (big surprise) and died in the US sometime between the 1860 Suffolk County Massachusetts and 1870 Wayne County Michigan Census. Hannah was also born in Ireland but around 1834 and died around 1893 in Detroit.
Patrick Henry had two confirmed siblings:
1. Margaret Sullivan b. Aug 1859 in Massachusetts. She married Walter C. Israel in Detroit and was still alive when Patrick died.
2. Jeremiah (Jerry) Sullivan born 18 Sep 1861 in Vermont. He was a teamster in the old sense of the word and was killed by a horse in Detroit 28 Sep 1883.
(Also two possible siblings: William and John who died before 1870)
Patrick Henry became a fireman serving as a lieutenant for Detroit Engine Co. 5 until retirement. On 18 Nov 1891, Patrick married Ellen Lambert, a nursemaid from Merstham, Surrey, England. She was born to Nicholas and Mary (Driscoll) Lambert on 17 Oct 1854 in Merstham.
Patrick and Ellen had two children:
1. Catherine Sullivan was born Jan 1894 in Detroit. She married Thomas H. Sutton and had 5 children.
2. William Jeremiah Sullivan was born 21 Nov 1898 in Detroit and died 16 Sep 1979 in Muskegon. On 03 Oct 1924 he married Onieta Hurley (05 Feb 1899 Coldwater - 13 Oct 1985 Muskegon). The couple had twin sons Patrick Joseph and Michael John born 14 Nov 1928 in Birmingham/Detroit, MI.
