Most of my family settled in uppper Michigan in the late 1800's then in 1900's moved to Minnesota. When my sister and I started our family tree we asked abour our great grand-father Michael Francis Sullivan, Our aunts and mother told us they did'nt know if he had any siblings, When we went back to duluth, MN to do some reseach and find his obituary there because he was from there,, we learned he had a brother Joseph Martin. and 2 sisters, Kate and Nell. Then as time went on my sister was able to find the Son of Joseph. and he had the tree back to 1822 in Cork Ireland, and there were 15 children all together not just 3 then we found some other members who had no idea there was more family. For some reason the siblings did not stay intouch and keep any records of the family so now there are Sullivan
family lines, and it seems that the family would name their child after their parents and siblings, and so on. But then it makes it hard to find who is who, the names are the same in each family, most have a Mary,Kate,Catherine,Nell,Con,Cornelius, and Margaret, this is really hard to find family because no one recorded the information on their family with correct dates and places of birth, and different names.I hope to find the beginning some day and find the answers. Goodluck to you, If you
would like any informatio on my family line starting in 1822 in Cork Ireland, let me know and I will email it to you. Thanks Traci
