James O'Sullivan was born 1844 married Hortense Ryan born 1847.Their children were Christina born in Ause on 25 December in the 1870's,John[Jack] and Laura.James was a Fellow at The University of Dublin.Hortense died when Christina was 10 years old. Both girls were put in a conventfora time and their brother was apprenticed to surveyor and no more was ever heard of him.James was asked to resign his Fellowship at The University so he took the girls out of the convent and went to England where Christina got an M.A. At The University there before her 21st birthday.Christina met and married Percy Fowlerwho was a grocer from Burmingham. They had 3 sons.Later on it was decided that they would come to NEWZEALAND.Percy came first to set up his shops. In 1912 on The S.S.Surrey came the three boys Christina with her father and her sister.
My grandfather was the middle son Francis Henry. My mother was his only child.
