When I was replying to you last time--it hit me that James Suite named his son William B.Suit. I know these 2 families were closely related due to Benjamin Banner living next door to Benjamin Suite. I think Benjamin Banner's sister married James Suite and was the mother of Wililam B. Suite and Samuel Suite (my ancestor) and possibly Ann Suite who married James Herbert. I think (and I agree with LInda Reno) that James married 1st to Rebecca Harrison and they had (my opinion but not proven) Sarah Suit who married Joseph E. True and Jane Suit who married John B. Jones.

Anyway, back to the name "William B. Suit"--and the names "Benjamin Suite" and "Benjamin Banner"--I now think that Benjamin Suit of St. Mary's Co MD was probably
named "William Benjamin Suit" and possibly went by "Benjamin" to differentiate between him and William Suit who was son of Nathaniel Suit.

We do know for sure (due to the will of his father, Dent Suit) that Benjamin was definitely his son. Dent died in 1792, but may have been born ca. 1705 or shortly thereafter if it is true that he was son of the Thomas Suit who married Christian Dent.

I can't prove this now. But the name "JOhnson" Suit tells me that Benjamin may really be William Suit who married Mary JOhnson before 1764. I don't think she is Milley because Milley (Mildred) was still having children in 1806 (Kelita) and she did not die until 1863.

I am tryingto find more records to back this up.

I think Benjamin also was married to Susannah Wood briefly and that she died soonafter giving birth to James Suit after 1758 but before 1764. I think James was a son of Benjamin William Suite and Susannah Wood.

That could surely explain how Benjamin Banner was living next to Benjamin Suit.

The only other explanation for this would be if "Milley" (Benjamin's assumed 3rd wife, was the same woman as Anna Banner."

I have been thinking that Anna Banner is wife of James and that she died ca. 1810-1811. I still believe this.

But if not, then Milley would have to be Anna, and she was James' step-mother (even tough James was probably older than she was.) Those are the only 2 possibilities.

I know that they are all connected, because William B. Suite (the one who died in 1826 in St. Mary's Co MD) clearly named his "cousin" Elkanah B. Brady. Elkanah B. Brady spelled his name "Brauda" and he was living in Barnwell Co SC in the exact same area that Peter BAnner, father of Benjamin died in 1799. Peter Banner got land grants there beginning in 1784.

Anyway, this makes so much sense and I can't see why I didn't notice the William B. Suit thing before.

I think william B. Suite was also William Benjamin Suite, II and was named in honor of his grandfather! Now, I just need some baptismal records to prove this.
