This information is interesting as both of my grandparents were from County Kerry. Timothy J. O'Connor was born in 1870 or 1871 and his parents my g grandparents were Nancy Sugrue and Daniel (?) O'Connor. Our family says that his birthplace was Port Magee. My grandmother, Johanna King was born in Cahiriseveen in 1874 and her parents, my g grandparents were Timothy King and Johanna Daly. My grandparents were married in the US in Denver Colorado and settled in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Timothy O'Connor had 2 sisters, Margaret O'Connor Shea who settled in Indianapolis and Mary O'Connor McCarthy who settled in New York. I heard that one brother remained in Ireland. Timothy O'Connor died in 1917 after an accident in the gold mines and Johanna died in 1921 in Denver, where she moved with her family after my grandfather died. There were 8 children born to Timothy and Johanna. Mary Ann (1897-1973), Helen (1898-1976) Nora (1900-1965), Daniel (1901-1917) James (1903-1943) Teresa (1906-1991) Margaret (1908-1989) and John (1912-1998), all lived in Colorado. My father was John O'Connor and my sister and I are the only decendents of this family. I also know that some of the Sugrue family settled in Indianapolis--where my mother was born (1920-2001). It turned out that 6 weeks before my parents were married in Denver, they learned that my mother's step family (in Indianapolis) was in some way related to my dad's family (in Colorado) sharing a cousin in common named Sugrue who lived in Indianapolis.

I would be interested in knowing if you have further information.

Tim O'Connor
