Will of Louisa Robertson
Dated: August 11, 1857
Proved:February 14, 1859
In the name of God, Amen, I,Louisa Robertson of Hopkins County in the State of Kentucky being sound in body and mind and of disposing memory do make and constitute this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me, to-wit.
1.I will and direct that my body be decently interred and that my funeral expences and all my just debts if any be paid as soon as convenient.
2.I will and direct that all my slaves be sold each one to have the privilege of choosing a master provided such be chosen as are willing and able to pay fair prices.
3.I will and direct that Saraphim GivensMartha B. WalkerZelotas Eveline ArmstrongSarah Temperance CoxEliza Juliet Yarbrough and Lavina Jones (or her heirs in her stead) receive in equal shares all my household & kitchen furniture.
4.I will and direct that William L. WilliamsSylvester H. Williamsand Saraphim Givens have and receive of my estate cash one hundred ($100) dollars.
5.I will and direct that the balance of my property be sold and that the proceeds of the sale thereof together with all money on hand or due my estate by note or otherwise for slaves or other considerations after the above bequests shall be satisfied go to and be equally divided amongst my brothers William Sugg Willie SuggAllen SuggJoel Sugg (or his three children LutherRobert and Sophia in his stead and my Sister Martha B. Walkers children in her stead she being dead (the portion that may fall to Louisa Hunt to be held by her free from the control or liabilities of her husband for her own use and benefit during her life and then to go to her child or children or to her brothers and Sisters if she leave no offspring of her own) and the children of my Sister Lavina Jones She being dead also.And my intention is to give cash to each of my brothers and Sisters named in this item one Sixth of the amount in this item bequeathed the children of Lavinia Jones to take their mothers part, the children of Martha B. Walker to take her part and the three children named of Joel Suggs to take his part.
6 and lastly I appoint and constitute Jonathan J. Williams and Gabriel Sugg my Executors to execute and carry into effect this my last will and Testament.

This instrument of writing was this day produced in Court & proved to be the last Will and testament of Louisa Robertson dec'd by the oaths of Wm. James & G. D. Sugg subscribing witnesses thereto and William James proved attestation of A. S.
