Hi Patty!
My name is Mary Ann (Sudzina) Baldwin. I was born in 1944 in Perth Amboy, N.J. My brother, Michael, was also born in Perth Amboy. I have a bit of information (not much) about Sudzinas. My father, Michael, was also born in Perth Amboy where his parents, John and Anna settled when arriving in the U.S. My father had three sisters who had a total of 9 children (my first cousins). Their last names were Vowteras, Bates and Dwyer. The girls all married and now have different surnames. I know my father and his family were Greek Catholics and belonged to that church in Perth Amboy. I would be very surprised if my cousin Diane Rickwood has not touched base with you as she has recently begun a Sudzina family genealogy.
While I don't know where your people are from, I will tell you that there were closely related (to my grandparents) Sudzinas in Pennsylvania (Altoona, I think) in the 1930s, at least. My father's youngest sister went to live with them for awhile when she was a teenager.
