Not sure if this matches, but I am seeking information on John Suddith m. Elizabeth Hare in Lincoln Co, KY, 08 MAY 1823. Jonathan Suddith purchased BLM in Bartholomew Co, IN, at the same time as Archibald Cheatham in 1835 (Archibald m. Esther Hare in Lincoln Co, KY 18 Dec. 1816).
John Hare, W. Suddith, and Martin Suddith as listed one after another in the 1840 Census in Bartholomew Co, IN and Archibald Cheatham owns adjoining land. 1850 census shows John 49 b VA & Elizabeth 49 b KY, with 80 yr old William Suddith b. VA (John's father?) and children Willis G. 17, William H. 15, Leonora 13, Amanda 11, Francis L. 4.
Then, the 1879 Atlas of Bartholomew Co, IN, says: "Francis L. Suddith, farmer, Sec. 35, son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Suddith; was born at present homestead Jan 8, 1846. Married, July 16, 1865, Sarah J., daughter of Fletcher Peel, a native of North Carolina; born Sept. 24, 1846, in Sand Creek Township; children - George A., Ida May, Missie A., Mattie B., Fletcher P., Pherbe Edith. Mr. Suddith's father was born in Kentucky April 2, 1803, now deceased; his mother, Elizabeth Hare, a native of Kentucky, is still living at Elizabethown."
I am interested in the Cheatham, Hare, Suddith connections.
