My grandmother's brother, James Reid (Jamie), born in Edinburgh c. 1875, worked in the Sudan in the late 1800's. He was an engineer, and apparently worked on the Suez canal. He was married to Margaret, a Doctor, and the niece of a quite famous statesman of the area, and they had one daughter that I know about, also named Margaret (Peggy). Any information greatly appreciated.
