To all who are interested finding the sources of the name Ueckert and location were there came from.
The first Ueckert came from a town called Breitenwerder in the Landkreis Friedeberg to Texas.
Ms.Traci Parsons-Holder,a very kind Lady of the town of Aledo TX, was desperatly searching for the location of these towns.
( Please forgive my english, I'am still learning ).
Now here are the good news. Its found.
It is located in Poland, about 150km east of Berlin, in the former province of Pommern.
Regierungsbezirk Grenzmark/Posen-Westpreussen.
Friedeberg is named today STRZELCE-KRAJENSKIE
If you want to look it up in a polish map look for a city called GORZOW, then a few kilometers to the east.
Breitenwerder is about 12km southeast of Friedeberg directly underneath a town which was called Mittelbruch. I dont know the polish name for Mittelbruch yet.
Liebe gruesse to all of you.
Werner Ueckert
