Victoria,
For many years I have been researching my Percefull (Percival) roots. About a year ago I started on the Matthews side of my family. Because of the fact that my g-gmother had died soon after giving birth to my grandmother and my g-gfather remarried to a young widow, the g-gmother's name was not know. While visiting my mother over Thanksgiving, she recalled a great-aunt who's last name was Poe. I started checking and found that my g-gmother's name was also Poe. I posted to the Poe GenForum and within hours I had my Poe history back to the 1700's!! More data than I had dreamed of. I have established correspondence with several distant cousins who have been doing research for years.
I have reached dead ends on some of my lines, but others have worked out very well.
Good Luck on your quest.
Bob Percefull
