You have Margaret Sublett (married John Sesler) listed as child of William sr and Betsy; where did you get your information. I will be very, very excited to finally have parents for Margaret Ann . I have look for 5 years to find the parents of Margaret. Other Sublett researchers had never heard of her and I was told repeated that she was not part of the Montgomery County Subletts. yet she is listed as born in VA and marriage record in Montgomery Co courthouse is to John W Sessler.
Her marriage record was bonded by Matilda Sublett and in 1860 Montgomery Co VA census, Matilda Sublett and her two sons, are living with John & Margaret Sessler, so I knew she was "kin" somehow to these Subletts. John Sessler and Margaret Sublett were my maternal gr gr grandparents.
John and Margaret moved to Kanawha Co WV around the time of; or soon after the Civil WAr. Their daughter, Mary F. "Fannie", Sessler married James Shivertaker. Margaret dies around 1868 in Kanawha Co WV, and John is listed as widower in 1870 census of WV; 1880 census of Mont Co Va has John remarried to a Sarah and son Robert age 5. I am still trying to find an exact death date and burial place for Margaret Ann. They had a son name John F to die at age 2 in Kanawha Co WV in 1865.
