Hello Jane McBride! William Caldwell "Old Ben" Sublett, is
a branch of my family tree. His father, Caldwell Sublett is a brother to my Great Grandfather..William Boneparte
Sublett.
I have never tried to get a copy of his Civil War Record &
I dont think he ever applied for a CSA Texas pension.
But I have two individuals who were in the CSA from AR.
1) William Sublett, Pvt, Company F Gordon's Regiment AR/CAV
2) William C. Sublett Cpl, Company G 27th AR Inf. In 1850 he was living with his father in Washington Co., AR
There is two different dates for his DOB:
per family 25Sept1834 and the one on the marker in
Odessa...25Sept1838
I dont know who furnished the info for the one in Odessa.
He had 3 children...his two dau's were both dead at the
time of William's death and his son Rolth Ross Sublett
If you do plan to obtain his Civil War record...I will
gladly share the cost with you. I will do some more checking.
