Robert, my aunt, Jessie Beatrice Love married H. Stuyvesant Dudley 31 Aug 1940. He passed away in the late '40's or early '50's. She died 3 Jan 1977. They lived in Hendersonville, NC.
She told me that Stuyve, as he was called, had two sisters, neither married. They had a serious family disagreement and never spoke to each other in their adult life. Their estate, which, I was told, was sizable, was never settled and eventually went to the State of New York.
These may be the children that you are looking for, I have no other family information.
Stuyve was a journalist for Hearst Publications and traveled "Round the Horn" in a sailing ship to report on the California gold strike in 1898. He was considerably older than my aunt.
I would be very interested to know any information that might lead to his parents and their linage.
Thank you, William Love
