Nancy, the info you posted about the Searls/Stuyvesant family album is just fantastic!
I especially was interested in the "scrap of paper: Mrs. Ett Cole and the mention of Paw Paw, Van Buren Co., Michigan. For this is exactly where our Alice Stuyvesant is from! I had thought New York, and not Penn., for these Stuyvesants, but this gives me a clue about them. Also, I noticed that these Stuyvesant women had names that started with the letter "A"...Adlaid, etc. I feel that our Alice is indeed connected to this Stuyvesant family and will start research in Penn.
