My maternal grandfathers mothers name was Charlotte Marie Stutzmann from Wollau, Germany. She had three children from her first marriage to Mr Stutzmann (name we do not know). Their names are Marie Charlotte Stutzmann DOB: 01/16/1877. We believe she immigrated to America around 1883 and settled in LeMars, IA where she married Gottlieb Haas and then a Karl Ioos. We also believe Charlotte had two other children from Mr. Stutzmann possibly a Gottlieb and possible a Emily. We have heard stories of Emily coming to America as a servant/maid but cannot locate any information. Also a possibility there may be a fourth child Albert, not sure if he is a Stutzmann or a Majer as my grandfather is. Charlotte married a Mr Frederick Majer in Germany. He is the father of my grandfather Ernst Joseph Majer DOB: 03/20/1885 came to America in 1907 and settle with his half sister Marie (Stutzmann)Haas in LeMars, IA. My grandfather changed his name when he came to America to Ernest Meyer. Any information would be appreciated. Joan
