Hello Liz, haven't talked in a while. I am the great grandson of Henry Augustus Hill. Henry was the son of Alfred G. Hill and the grandson of James Hill and Catherine Stutts. I am interested in the name Mattie or Mittie. Could Mittie be a nickname for Mattie. The reason I suggest this is that Henry Augustus named one of his children Mattie Florence and another Carter Lee. Mattie, Florence and Lee seem to be family names and has been carried on down for several generations. This is just a conjecture on my part.
Was glad to see a post to the Stutts line. It has been a little dormant.

Thanks, Jerry Webb
