Hello Stutts Reasearchers,
I have been busy researching The STUTTS from LAUDERDALE County, Alabama. I am going to list some of my research and leave it open for discussion and see if we can get this Stutts Genforum talking. Seems like everyone went to sleep on me. haha

Louis Jacob Stutts born Jan 1874 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Married Mattie Lee Hill, also from Lauderdale County, Alabama she was born November 1876.
Mattie Lee Hill was the daughter of William Marion Hill born August 1853 died November 1903 Kaufman County, Texas.
William Marion Hill married Mary Katherine "Katie" McDonald.
William was the son of John Green Hill and Deborah Safrona Stutts. Deaborah was the daughter of William M. Stutts and Susannah Ritter. All this is important because of Probate information I will list below.

2. Jacob Stutts is also living in the same house.
By 1910 William Marion Hill has died, Mattie Lee and Jacob are married, and Katie McDonald Hill is living in the house with her daughter and son in law.

This is how far I have come.
Mary Katherine " Katie" McDonald Hill was born Feb 1, 1854 in Lauderdale County, Alabama she died Jan 12, 1945 in Kaufamn County, Texas. She married William Marion Hill born August 1853 died Nov 1903. Buried in Ceder Grove Cemetery, Kaufman Co., Texas.
Mattie Lee Hill was born November 1876 in Lauderdale County, Alabama she died before 1920. She married Louis Jacob Stutts. Jacob was born Jan 1874 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. I can not prove but strongly believe he was the son of William Wesley B. Stutts and Lucy Garner.
Children of Jacob Stutts and Mattie Lee are.
1. Fletcher D. Stutts born April 30, 1901 died Jan 1, 1974 Kaufman County, Texas.
2. William Neely Stutts born 1903 died August 10, 1990 Kaufman County, Texas
3. Jimmie Lee Stutts born Jan 27, 1904 died Jan 7, 1991
He is buried in College Mound Cem. Kaufman County, Texas and his tombstone reads " Jimme Lee Stutts son of Louis Jake & Mattie lee Hill Stutts"
4. Hugh Stutts born 1907
5. Jacob Chester Stutts born 1910 married Mamie Louise Kennedy.
