Hi,

No I haven't found where the name Sturrock came from. I'm guessing there was someone who was a friend of my Great Grandfather that he named my Great Uncle after. Because there is no connect to the name that I've found. My family a lot of the time gave the mother's maiden name as the middle name to their children. Like my dad Duncan Chisholm Goodale. Chisholm was my Grandmother maiden name. My GG Grandfather gave the name Carnegie to my G Grandfather because at the time he was working on the Carnegie Estate in Scotland.

Randie
