From what I've observed, there are Eisenmengers from several parts of Germany, indeed, perhaps Palatines among them. The only line with whom I'm familiar are the Eisenmengers originally of Sindringen, Württemberg, who relate to me distantly by marriage. Little is known about them early days due to the destruction of church records. There's considerable much known about them in the USA and Australia. Have you checked the Eisenmenger Family Forum here at GenForum or the Eisenmenger Board at RootsWeb?

Your brief description of Palatine history elsewhere in this Forum is a good one. Quite a number of people, unfortunately, who aren't particularly familiar with German history/geography tend to make the mistake re the Palatine connexion to Bavaria. That said, however, the Bavarians are very much Germans.
