Hi Kym --
Sorry -- not enough background info. So, I did a search on my own.Following is EVERYTHING I could find, with some comments at the end:
Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997
Name Birth Date Gender Birth County Father's name Mother's name View Image
Jack Michael Sturdivant 15 Oct 1941 MaleGregg Co.Jack Pickford Sturdivant Irene Virginia Boggess
Jackie Rachelle Sturdivant 23 Nov 1954 FemaleTarrant Co.Jack Pickford Sturdivant Virginia Iola Carradine
Lynn Maxey Sturdivant 16 Mar 1948 MaleEl Paso Co.Jack P Sturdivant Virginia Iola
Tommy Clinton Sturdivant 20 Jun 1950 MaleTarrant Co.Jack Pickford Sturdivant Virginia Iola Carradine
*** NOTE: This is not necessarily a complete list of Jack's
*** children. I could not find out whether Irene Virginia
*** Boggess and Virginia Iola Carradine were the same person.
*** Additionally, it is also possible that Jack was previously
*** married to a Naomi Gilliam, by whom he might have had at
*** least one child.

I could not find out where Virginia was buried, although I assume it was somewhere in the Fort Worth/Arlington area. She does not appear to be buried with Jack at the Moore Cemetery, although it's possible that she is.I should have been able to find BOTH Jack and Virginia on BOTH the 1920 and 1930 Censuses -- I searched the ENTIRE USA for both of them on both censuses and was UNABLE to turn up ANY remotely possible candidate for either of them.Jack was possibly born with some other FIRST (GIVEN) NAME.
At least we know that Jack:
a. was born in Oklahoma
b. was born on March 3, 1919
c. died January 30, 1989
d. died in Tarrant County, Texas
e. was buried in Moore Cemetery, Arlington, Tarrant Co., TX
And, we also know that Virginia "Sturdivant" (either Carradine or Boggess/Bogess):
a. was born July 24, 1920
b. died December 4, 1998
c. died in Texas, probably Tarrant County
You now need to use this information to get the actual death certificates from the State's vital records office in Austin, TX.If Austin does not have these records, then you must go to Tarrant County's records in Fort Worth.Hopefully, if you obtain these records, you will find out the names of both Jack's and Virginia's parents. If you do, please post the results here and I will try to do a little more checking for you -- if I find a connection, I will know who to send you to.
Best of luck,
Mike Collier
