Margaret Stults b abt. 1766 in PA.
Margaret Mary Magdalene Stults b: Abt. 1772
(I am not as certain about the names of the last three persons as I got them from internet sources. Most of the rest of the names and info came from "Stults Family History" by Lee and Florence Stults.)
Elizabeth's father was John Peter Stults (aka Johannes Peter Stultz, Peter Stults, Peter Stoltz), b: 1733 in Germany, d: 1814 in Rockingham County, VA, m: abt. 1755 in PA to Margaret Schneider who was b: abt. 1739 in Germany, d: in Rockingham County, VA. Margaret's parents were Johan Conrad Schneider and Albertina Philippina Unknown.
John Peter Stults' parents were John Henry Stults (aka Johan Henrich Stoltz and went by the name Henry rather than John), b: 1704 in Nassau, Western Germany or Duchy, Wirtenberg, Germany, d: June 23, 1789 in Lawrence, Brookfield, NJ, m: Abt. 1728 in PR. Westfalen, Roedgen, Germany to Gertrude Unknown who was b: abt. 1706 in PR. Westfalen, Roedgen, Germany.
John Peter Stults (age 20) and his parents, John Henry Stults (age 49) and Gertrude immigrated to the United States on "The Edinburgh" arriving at the port of Philadelphia on October 2, 1753. John Peter fought in the Revolutionary War and was active in the German Reformed Church. Also, the Johan Conrad Schneider family came with them on "The Edinburgh".
Three of John Peter's brothers, Jacob m: Juliana Unknown, Peter and Adam, had immigrated in 1744 landing in Philadelphia Harbor.
"In early manhood, Jacob, Peter and Adam left the Fatherland along with other German youths and migrated to Holland. These Palatine youths wished to escape the frequent wars, the turmoils and the imperial and tyrannical authority of the German Prussian State." from "Stults Family History" by Lee and Florence Stults.
Michael, a 4th brother, m: Anna Barbara Unknown, came to America in 1749 and went to Lancaster county, PA. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church.
"Jacob, Peter, Adam, Michael and Henry and their sons established records of militia duty which are recorded in "Muster Rolls" of Northhampton, Lancaster, Cumberland, Franklin, Philadelphia and Westmoreland counties where many of the Stults immigrants became land owners and farmers."
Several of the Stults' migrated from Shenandoah County, VA to Sinking Springs, Brushcreek Township in Highland Co., Ohio beginning in 1804. On Aug. 10, 1811 appeared the names of Jacob, Peter and John Stults along with 12 others. They are listed on the deed to establishing of the third oldest cemetery in southern Ohio. It is located in Brushcreek Township, and is known as the Suiter Cemetery.
