His brother Harry was my grandfather.My grandmother Blanche
was a Bates and Harrys wife not his sister. You know of
our gggreat grandmother Celia Litchfield married to Amiel
Studley. I traced her line back to Rev John Lothrop
born 1584 in Yorks England. He was a famous man in the new Plymouth Colony. He came to America on the ship "Griffin" arriving in1634. He is the ancester of 5 US Presidents. They are U. Grant, F.Roosevelt, D.Eisenhower and the two Bushes.I have photos of the Studley family taken in 1940 George Ethel and Lucille are in it, Let me know if your interested in a copy.
