The Joseph Studley that you are researching is my great, grandfather. My grandfather was David G. Studley & my father was George D. Studley of Rolla, MO. I have a copy of Joseph’s death certificate & it lists his parents as Abraham Studley & Anna Vincent, both of Somerset, England. I have found a death notice in 1854 for Abraham Studley, but I’m unsure if it is the same person. It is confusing, but Joseph’s wife maiden name was Ann Vincent. I also have a copy of her death certificate & it lists her father as Robert Vincent. I found a 1841 census for Wayford, Somerset which list a Robert Vincent w/ a 3 year-old daughter Ann. Again, I have been unable to prove this is the same person. I am new to this research, but would be glad to share the information I have gathered. Of course, any information you have gathered would be most appreciated. Btw, how are you related to Joseph?
