JOHN HOWLAND, the thirteenth signer of the Compact. He was born about 1593, and on the voyage of the Mayflower he fell overboard and ws with difficulty rescued. He married Elizabeth daughter of John Tilley, in 1623. He was one of the Undertakers. For 1633-35 he was one of the Assitants and represented Plymouth in the General Court for 28 years. He died in 1672, the last one of hte men who came over in the Mayflower that still lived in Plymouth.

JOHN TILLEY, the sixteenth signer of the Compact, died early in 1621.

ELIZABETH TILLEY, the daughter of John. In 1623 she married John Howland. She was born about 1607 and died in 1687.
